Food Stop: Symmetry

Both H and I were both down with the flu just 3 days before our scheduled trip (which WE organized) with 6 friends. Imagine the sick taking care of the sick, just so both of us would feel better. Anyway, the point of this story is that when we had enough strength and energy to go out to go to this diving shop H had to visit, we discovered this  amazing little coffee shop at Jalan Kubor.

Symmetry is a cafe by day, and a restobar at night. We were immediately drawn to its cool exterior, and even cooler interiors. H said it reminded him of cafes in Berlin. It had unique decor that give the shop some character. The walls were done in a way that it looked like it was a run down building.

We ordered a Latte (a must-try), the Steak Sandwich and Waffles with Berries. The waffles came with whipped cream, nutella, peanut butter, nougat, sweet berries and yummy Blueberry ice cream. Just what we needed to boost of energies with some sweets!

The Steak sandwich was very tasty and delicious. I would have to say that the fries were a bit soggy and tasted like it had some weird truffle oil on it. Believe me, I love truffle fries, but this one didn't taste right. All in all, the food was great (except for the fries) and the prices are wallet-friendly. We'd love to go back and try their other dishes on the menu.
